If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you know that we’ve been juggling a few projects these last few weeks while we were waiting on our new dining table. Well, the new dining table finally came and I’m in love. I think B loves it too but maybe just isn’t as excited about furniture?
I can’t believe how long it’s been since my last post! When I started blogging I knew I would have to focus on social media to help market and grow the blog but I had NO idea how consuming Instagram could be. Don’t get me wrong, I love it! But it is VERY distracting. This basement update remodel update is long overdue — please, forgive me?
This post, like all of the other basement remodel posts, will be picture heavy. We didn’t put the carpet down ourselves so there’s not much I can say about the process. But hey! Who doesn’t love progress photos?!
Happy Thursday everyone! Just dropping by to give you a basement update. We are ALMOST finished paint! Which is right on target for carpet installation on Monday.
First we primed/sealed all of the new drywall with Behr Premium Plus Interior Drywall Primer and Sealer. Once every surface was primed and sealed we worked our way from top to bottom with the paint. First painting the ceilings with Behr Premium Plus Flat Interior Ceiling Paint then all of the walls got two coats of Glidden Universal Grey. Brian’s office (the Man Cave) is painted all one color (ceiling and walls). He chose Benjamin Moore’s Black Horizon after falling in love with it last summer at The Portsmouth Hotel in Maine. We had Home Depot match the color using Glidden Diamond Interior Paint and Primer.
Here’s a little photo update…
